About Me

Mrs. Gates: I am the librarian at Navarro Jr. High and Navarro High School. This is my third year as a librarian and my first in Navarro. I taught and coached at Smithville Jr. High and was the librarian at Gonzales High School prior to coming to Navarro. Previously, I worked in advertising after graduating from the University of Texas. After making a career change, I became a Jr. High teacher and coach and went back to school to get my masters degree in library science at the University of North Texas. I graduated in August 2009, and now I am the high school librarian. In my spare time I enjoy reading (of course), watching T.V., jogging, watching and attending sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
